Hanging Up the Apron

The joyous day has finally come …for me at least!!  After almost two years and 151 recipes, I’m finally ready to “call it good” as far as recipes go.  While I haven’t made every solitary thing that can possibly be made with food storage, I’m confident that within the methods I’ve shared everything important is covered.

I can’t tell you how ELATED and RELIEVED I am to have this part of the project available and completed.  While it’s been a crazy amount of work, it’s been my privilege to share it all with you; and best of all I now have a thorough “how-to” completed for my own family’s use just in case I’m not around to do the cooking!

So…what’s next??

I’ve just finished adding the printable recipe cards from January up until three weeks ago for your convenience and I’ll have the seven remaining cards added shortly.  (Sorry for the long wait on those!)  Besides that, this month I have a few product reviews to share and I’ll be working on some “behind the scenes” updates here on the blog.  I’ll continue to mail out wonder oven patterns (as mentioned in this post) — free to you– until the end of this month.  After that I’ll be happy to send them again starting in September.

July and August will be mostly quiet, although I’m working on arrangements to teach a few food storage classes as I travel with my family through UT, ID and Eastern WA.  Be sure and let me know if you’d like to attend!  The plans are still being made, so if you have a group in the SLC area of UT or Eastern ID area that would like a visit, we can talk!  Beginning again in the fall, I’ll continue posting as opportunities present themselves and quite possibly a recipe might pop up between now and then that I just have to share!

Over the summer my challenge to YOU is to take every opportunity you can to TRY OUT a 100% food storage recipe — whether from my blog or elsewhere.  You’ll never know what you like until you try it.  Do this and before you know it, you’ll be like me, hardly able to keep yourself from telling everyone in the world about your shocking discovery …that food storage can actually taste pretty good!!

        I’m pretty excited to be able to attend. Our Stake RS president sent me the event details at meetings tonight and I’m sending it out to our EP Specialists in each ward. (I’m the Stake EP specialist)
        Hopefully you’ll have a big crowd. I’m teaching a class on Sunday on cooking without power and I’m putting a plug in for your classes! Pretty excited about it!
